| Description |
| A-740
Wash is a water-miscible wash for medium to large sheet-fed and web
presses. It exhibits excellent performance and emulsion stability
when mixed with water. It has a pleasant citrus odor, contains no
chlorinated solvents, and has a flash point of 105℉. |
| A-740
Wash is a special blend of solvents and emulsifiers formulated so
that, when mixed with water, performance is not sacrificed. It has
been shown to have no residual surfactant blinding or roller stripping
effect, as may occur with some water-miscible washes. |

| Blankets
- A-740 Wash may be used straight or mixed with water. For water wash-up,
mixed with 25-50% water in a solvent applicator bottle and apply with
a rag. To remove ink and piling, wipe dry with a clean cloth. If you
prefer to use A-740 straight, you may wish to follow with a damp rag
to remove piling. |
| Rollers
- Apply A-740 Wash to top roller and allow wash to work for a minute
or so, then engage wash-up blade. Continue to apply small portions
to the rollers until clean. A-740 Wash may be used with water as described
above if desired. |
| Periodic
use of warm water and vinegar and a glaze cleaner such as Anchor GLAZE
OFF #7058 or ENVIROPASTE #8175 is recommended to remove calcium and
other contaminants. |

Wash |
| Description
|
| A-460
is a specially blended combination of solvents and surface-active
agents designed to thoroughly remove ink and varnish from sheetfed
and web presses. It is water miscible, has a mild, pleasant fragrance,
and contains no chlorinated solvents. |
| Roller
washes containing high concentrations of aromatic solvents are not
recommended for use in Heidelberg automatic blanket and roller washers.
A-460 was specifically formulated for use in these machines and is
qualified by Bottcher Roller as safe for conventional Buna-Nitrile
rubber compounds. It is strong enough to thoroughly remove ink from
the rollers and will not leave any damaging residue. |

Follow instructions to set wash cycle for optimum cleaning. The use
of a deep cleaning conditioner such as ANCHOR ENVIROPASTE #8175 is
recommended for tough color changes and routine maintenance. |
| By
hand: Apply A-460 to rollers, allow to run in and engage wash-up blade. |
| For
blankets: Use A-460 full-strength or mix with up to 50% water. Apply
with a saturated cloth until all surface ink has been removed. Wipe
clean with dry cloth. |

| Description

| A-300
is an economical, all day wash for the quick, reliable and effective
removal of soft ink. A-300 is water-miscible, and when mixed with
water, will remove gum glaze, paper coating and piling other water-soluble
compounds. It has been tested and approved by FOGRA to meet the standards
specified for Heidelberg sheetfed presses. A-300 is a clear, light
colored liquid with a very mild odor. It has a flash point of 142℉
and contains no aromatic hydrocarbons. It meets all European Community
specifications for health and safety. |

Remove surface ink using a cloth saturated with A-300. Wipe clean
with a dry cloth. To use with water, dampen a cloth with water and
A-300, then apply to the blanket. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. For
rollers, follow a similar pattern as on the blanket. |

Engage the wash up blade, and repeat application of A-300 until rollers
appear clean. For a badly glazed roller, use Anchor Enviropaste in

A-410
WASH is a specialty, high flash point wash which exceeds current safety
standards. It is a clear, light colored liquid with a very mild odor.
It is water-miscible, and when mixed with water, will remove gum glaze,
paper coating and piling and other water-soluble compounds. It has
been tested and approved by FOGRA to meet the standards specified
for Man Roland, Heidelberg, Koenig and Bauer, and Wifag sheetfed presses.
It is qualified for use on Oxy-Dry automatic blanket washers. It has
a flash point above 200oF and contains no aromatic hydrocarbons.

UV 76 (Cleaner for Ultraviolet Curing Inks on B/N Rubber)

| UV
76 is a blend of several solvents formulated for easy removal of ultraviolet
curing inks. It is excellent for cleaning the rollers and blankets
on any press equipped with buna-nitrile type rubber rollers. In addition,
it will remove not only UV ink, but conventional inks as well. This
is an advantage in plants using both UV and conventional inks. It
dries without leaving an oily residue or a glazed surface. UV 76 contains
hydrocarbons and is not recommended for most EPDM type rollers. For
EPDM rubber use ANCHOR BEEMR UV WASH #7563. |

UV ink can be thoroughly polymerized by long exposure to daylight
or even fluorescent lighting. Cured UV inks are irreversible and cannot
be removed with any wash-up solvent |
